YDI Youth Crisis Hotline
YDI
is a ministry outreach that serves youth who are able to call
(1-800-HIT-HOME) and receive guidance from one of the many counselors
stationed throughout the United States. Here at Calvary Chapel
of Phelan, we have a YDI Hotline post available to minister
to runaways as well as give a lending ear or advice to troubled
teens all in confidentiality. We have a team trained to answer
calls from these troubled young people every Friday evening,
from 8:30 to 10:30 PM. As each call is different, the counselors
are supported by others on the team by having them obtain the
necessary scripture references needed for each particular call
as well as having them pray throughout the evening. Many of
these young people have been abused or are abusing their own
bodies, and many of them decide to give their lives to Jesus.
