Our Ministries

Children : Our Children's Minstry is designed to teach the entire word of God to children in a way that will help them develop a personal and lifelong relationship with Jesus.   We use age appropriate teaching of the Bible, worship, activities and puppets to help them grow in their personal relationship with Him.  During both of the Sunday morning services we provide Children's Ministry classes for ages 0 through 14 years old.  For our Thursday evening service we provide Children's Ministry classes for ages 0 through 11 years old.  Please click on the "CHILDREN'S MINISTRY" link above for a brief description of the classes we offer for your children.   Contact Mike & Debi Strader for more information.

High School Youth : We have a vision to see the youth of our community coming to Christ, being encouraged in their faith, and being equipped to minister to others.  On Thursday nights, our high school youth group meets together for a time of worship, Bible study, and fellowship at the church.  Our Bible Study on these nights is a chapter by chapter study.  Our Firm Foundation Fellowship high school home study meets on Tuesday night at the Flores' home.  This is a time of in-depth Bible study and topics relevant to living a Christian life as a teenager.  For information about our Youth Ministry, please contact our Youth Pastor, Zeke Flores or call the office.

Jr. High School Youth :The Jr. High group at Calvary Chapel of Phelan meets on Thursday nights at the church; youth from 6th to 8th grade are encouraged to attend.  Included during our time together is worship with the High School group and then a separate Bible study geared especially for junior high level.  Teachers are Jordan and Renee Doty (both Bible College graduates and newlyweds).  They teach, and share God's word with enthusiasm and fresh insight.  Prayer is included in our time together and we usually end with playing a game.  Our hearts desire is to show our young people that it is exciting to study the Bible and that we can have fun together in a wholesome Christian environment.

Young Adults Fellowship : Ministering to young adults right out of high school to age 29, helping them deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ.  For information contact
the church office at (760) 868-5102.

HUNGRY : Hungry is a ministry who's focus, purpose, and reason is Jesus Christ.  Hungry is a fellowship of believers who have a hunger for God and seek to satisfy that hunger with a steady diet of Worship, the Word and Fellowship.  The study time is an in depth, verse by verse study through the Bible.  We seek to draw out from the Word the promises, principles, and corrections from Jesus so that we can make life application from the direction of the Word.  Hungry meets every Sunday at 7:00PM at Calvary Chapel of Phelan; we hope that the environment that we set will encourage people to get intimate with the Lord and come to a saving knowledge of their one best friend for eternity.

Home Fellowships : There are evening Bible studies for small groups in homes where the atmosphere is casual, and there is time for worship, the Word, questions, discussions, fellowship, and prayer.  Special studies are being hosted for married couples and Seasoned Saints. Contact the church for details.

Men's Ministries : Our Men's Fellowship meets every Saturday morning for Bible study and prayer at 8:00 AM.  The Men's Retreat is in November each year.  Contact Jeff Muis for further information.

Women's Ministries : Our Women's Bible studies meet on Tuesday evenings at 7:00PM and  Wednesday mornings at 9:00AM at the church.  This year we are studying the Book of Romans.  Our Women's Retreat takes place the first weekend in April each year at the Calvary Chapel Conference Center in Murrieta. Check the Events page for Ladies Nights of Prayer, Worship & Study of God's Word!   Contact Jeri Anderson for further information.

Worship & Music : It is our desire that God would always have His way with this ministry, and we want to always be open to His leading, able to detect His voice. For this reason, we are always eager to include people in the body who have truly been gifted and called by God to this type of ministry. We have rehearsal meetings every Friday at 7:00 P.M. Everyone is welcome to attend these meetings. We also have a "musicians' fellowship" the first Friday evening of each month. This is time of Bible study relating to our ministry, as well as our normal rehearsal time. We encourage any person interested in music ministry to begin by attending these meetings, and see where the Lord may be leading.  For more information please contact Jim Andersen, or the church office, (760) 868-5102.

King's Kids : Our Kings Kids Mid-Week Ministry is for pre-kindergarten students and is open Tuesday and Thursday 9:00 AM - 12:00 noon, August - June.  Our purpose for Kings Kids is to prepare the children academically and socially for kindergarten as well as to nurture them spiritually.  Our class size is limited to 20 students with two teachers so our teacher/student ratio is 10 to 1.  We use the Writing Road to Reading language arts program that integrates all of the language strands.  This program emphasizes multi-sensory instruction by allowing students to hear, see, say and write sounds and words.  The goal of this program is to create lifelong learners by developing skilled readers, critical listeners, accomplished speakers, accurate spellers and confident writers.  For more information, contact Director Ann Litch.

New Jerusalem Christian Academy
: We have a private Christian School Independent Study Program for Kindergarten through 12th grade students as part of our ministry to families in our community.  This home study program provides assistance and encouragement to parent/teachers, and provides a school identity for the students.  There are monthly teachers meetings, school photos, yearbooks, field trips, SAT testing and other events.  For more information, contact the school office at (760) 868-5102.

Drug & Alcohol Recovery Ministry : We have a comprehensive drug & alcohol recovery ministry which meets at the church each week.  The meeting is held on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM (child care provided).  For more information about this ministry please contact
Zeke Flores.
