Our MISSIONS ministry's purpose is helping the
body of Christ gain a greater awareness of the overwhelming need to reach the
whole world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We provide Christians with the opportunity to serve as senders – by
using their God-given gifts, talents, and abilities to support those who have
been called to ministry on the mission field.
In doing so they become an integral part of fulfilling the Great Commission, "...go and make disciples of
all nations..." (Matthew 28:19).
How Do They Raise Support?
One beautiful thing about our MISSIONS ministry is the fellowship. The saints take part in providing for missionaries while getting the added blessing of great food and time to get acquainted. Small efforts add up. Men and women have participated in this ministry in various ways. Most are very simple and require a minimal amount of time and/or effort. Some ways the church has participated include:
- Homemade baked goods
- Canning items (jams, salsas, sauces)
- Donate items for Yard Sale
- Grow & donate surplus fruit & vegetables
- Serve Breakfast Burritos, Waffles, Soups, Mexican dinners, etc
- Mother’s Day Corsages
- Father’s Day Cookies
- Handcrafted items for Christmas Craft Fair
Where Do The Funds Go?
100% goes to missionaries. Missionaries are people who are called to go and live in a foreign land, giving up comforts, friends, family, language, and the culture they are used to in order to preach the gospel to a lost and dying world. This is no small sacrifice and what a privilege it is for us to participate in their ministries by helping to meet their needs. They are too valuable to lose.
Currently our MISSIONS ministry sends support to missionaries in:
- Russia - Ecuador -Middle East -Nicaragua
For over 10 years God has used this ministry to provide thousands of dollars for:
- Regular monthly support to several missionary families
- Purchasing appliances, cars, computers, worship equipment
- Providing missionaries with Bible study materials & ministry supplies
- Assisting with medical needs
How then can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Romans 10:14-15
